Dozens of parents, students and teachers gathered together to move cinder blocks, build garden beds and haul compost and topsoil to expand the gardens at Asbell Elementary.
With help from a Whole Kids Foundation grant, they added two new garden beds, planted blueberry bushes and organized a bi-weekly afterschool garden club for 90 students.
