Director of Communications and Development | WHOLE KIDS FOUNDATION
As a kid, I went through a large public-school food system where I didn't feel seen, heard, or nourished. This makes the goal of food equity for children very personal.
It brings me so much joy to champion youth agency by giving kids access to nutritious food choices, opportunities to connect to the roots of their food, and the chance to grow foods they want to eat.
I also love inspiring families to prepare and share fresh, nutritious, whole foods. My team gets to be creative and help families create healthy habits and fun memories. Who wouldn't love coming up with fruit and veggie jokes and puns? Or maybe it's just me; I admit i'm corny!
I think it’s hard to inspire if you can’t first be inspired. Since joining the team in 2020, I’ve reached several of my own health and wellness goals following Whole Kids Foundation’s healthy eating principles: eat a rainbow of colors, eat leafy greens first, and eat as close to nature as possible.
One of my greatest passions is helping young people reach their highest potential. In addition to developing strategies that improve children’s nutrition and wellness while I’m at work, I also proudly mentor two first-generation college students during my free time.
